libdigest-sha-perl software package provides Perl extension for SHA-1/224/256/384/512, SHA-512/224 and SHA-512/256, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdigest-sha-perl
libdigest-sha-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdigest-sha-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdigest-sha-perl *
You will get with libdigest-sha-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
